New Model: The new 1,131cc CRF1150L Africa Twin makes more power and torque – 87.5kW and 119Nm – thanks to upgrades in all areas for its parallel twin-cylinder engine for enhanced performance and efficiency. There are 6 new default riding modes SPORT, TOURING, URBAN, RAIN, OFFROAD and OFFROAD+, all now featuring in-mode customisation and riders can still choose between six-speed manual transmission or six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) options. New for 27YM is the Africa Twin Adventure Sports Honda SENSING RIDE, exclusively available with DCT. The Adventure Sports Honda SENSING RIDE is equipped with an extensive range of rider assistance systems and features Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Group Ride Assist, Distance Assist and Emergency Brake Assist Riding Support functions. Attention Support safety features include Forward Collision Warning, Brake Pulse, Blind Spot Information, Rear Collision Warning and Rear Distance Information. The steel frame and aluminium swingarm are lighter while a new, lower centre of gravity due to mass centralisation of components and a new fuel sub-tank design. Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (Showa EERA™) is now equipped with Honda Skyhook Control which manages damping force more precisely for an even smoother ride. Alongside the range of suspension settings available for pillion and luggage, a new ‘Minimum’ option lowers seat height 5mm. Unique Electronically Controlled Combined ABS (E-Combined ABS) manages front and rear brake force distribution; Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) prevents roll-back on gradients. Tough new styling stances mass-forward with minimum rear bodywork. New dual LED headlights are equipped with inner cornering lights and Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The handlebars are narrower, set higher and forward while the footpeg position moves inwards and back. The seat features revised foam thickness and contouring for increased comfort. The screen is now electrically operated, through 130mm height and 10° rake; dual wind Deflectors provide enhanced protection. The new display and infotainment system comprises a 5.7-inch display and 7-inch full colour TFT screen which features a dedicated off-road panel and compass, and faster start up time. Control is via the touch screen and new, easy to operate back-lit switchgear. A lockable pocket in the fuel tank cover holds a large smartphone and houses a USB-C socket. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® connectivity is now wireless while a Honda Smart Key operates the ignition, steering lock and fuel cap. Cruise control is standard as are heated grips, knuckle guards/knuckle guard extensions and aluminium rear carrier.
