Model summary: Honda introduces a new kind of sports tourer with a class leading new model. The CB1000GT takes its Hornet base and transforms it with the ability to cover ground and carve back roads with full – but smoothed – output from its 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine with Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) control. There’s ample room for the rider and pillion, Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (Showa-EERA™) suspension as standard as well as dual 310mm front discs worked by four-piston radial-mount calipers controlled by Cornering ABS thanks to a 6 Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). Standard specification is high: a five-way adjustable screen, rear panniers, cruise control, heated grips, knuckle guards, centre stand and quick shifter. Everyday convenience comes via the five-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, Honda Smart Key ignition, and auto-cancelling indicators that feature Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology.
